in the sun
I'm feeling quiet and sleepy this morning. (okay, confession: four years behind the masses, I just started watching LOST from the beginning. And I'm staying up far too late watching just one more episode each night, and scaring myself silly.)
So I'm going to hang on today through the bumps and the waves of the day, until this afternoon when the spring sun warms the newly-opened sunporch enough so I can steer us all out there. Where Ezra will play the drums with wild abandon; Adelaide will take the farm animals on a camper journey, narrating the entire trip; Steve will pick up his guitar for some more lovely sound; Calvin will come to the door every five minutes with a building status report on his bike-ramp-in-the-snow; and I will lay on the floor with handwork by my side, but likely ignored, while I close my eyes and let the sun and sounds stream in. A little bit like yesterday.

Sounds like a lovely day - I love the sun. Also, where did you get the wooden camper? It is really cute.

I feel compelled to welcome you to the world of LOST. Isn't it awesome? My Husband and I have been watching since day one, and it is sooooooo good. And I commend you on waiting till now actually, because you won't have to wait with baited breath through that ridiculous hiatus they took this year. Seriously, that sucked!
Anyhow, enjoy the twists and turns and even the silliness where the characters never run out of a variety of clothes. I mean, I know they had strangers suitcases to ransack, but I seriously doubt that Kate would always find pants that fit that well, and looked that good. c'mon.

I got on board with LOST last year... it is addicting.
Sounds like a nice day!

okay, really too funny, because I too am WAY sleepy from staying up late last night to watch last weeks episode and reading these two theories on the whole thing... I mean, mirror matter moons and other sci-fi stuff that makes your head explode, well, that will keep you up for sure.
Here are two links to the most popular theories about it all, very interesting!

okay, I feel sufficiently dorky now. :) have a nice day!

The sun is so much needed this time of year! We plan to soak some up today too! Yours is the third post on music making at home that I have read in the the past day or so. It must be time to open the windows and make some noise!! Usher in the sun and warm breeze.

Sounds like a lovely afternoon. I could use some sun warmth. Also, where did you get the wooden camper toy - its great.

I've been doing the same thing with LOST! I finally hit the end of Season 3. It will be nice to remember to go to bed at a decent time soon :)

Ack! I'm not alone in my LOST insanity. ;) It's so dangerous having the entire season ready to go...one...after....another. ;)
Dallas & Annie -
The camper is from Magic Cabin a few years ago - but I can't seem to find it on their website. Sorry!

Lost! Amazingly addictive.
We almost got cable just to see the new season, but a kind friend volunteered to tape them for us.
My husband likes that it is the only show that makes me drop my knitting needles or cross stitch project.
Posted by: kerri | March 26, 2008 at 11:51 AM
Lost is the only show I watch on a regular basis and I'm completely addicted to it. It's also the only show that leaves me very tense and sick to my stomach. Sort of like drugs, but legal. :)

Lovely day listening and tired, surrounded by family. Wish it was this kind of day for me too.

back to say... i just watched the pilot episode of lost. all the past shows/seasons (i'm not really sure, there's just a ton) are available online via the abc site. can somebody now virtually kick my butt so i don't get immediately sucked into episodes 2... 3...4... must begin spring cleaning...
Posted by: beautythatmoves | March 26, 2008 at 12:14 PM
oh, LOST. What can I say? I am so hooked. We are watching Season 4 in The Netherlands, season 3 is a masterpiece and 4 it's going that way too. Keep it up, it's so worth it! one of the best shows I have even seen. All the names make reference to something or someone, everything is linked and just when you think you know what is going on, you realize you have no clue! ok, I'll stop now.
Lucky you got some sun too...

we caught up on LOST - the whole thing - this past month, too. now we actually have to -wait- like everyone else. :P glad you're having fun, even though it makes the days sleepy.

Hello, Thank you for your blog. I have a question about the wooden camper. Is it still being made and, if so, do you have any ideas where to purchase a similar one? Thank you, Jenny

Oh my goodness, are people already receiving the book? Mine has been on preorder since day one. I'll be watching for it! The timing couldn't be better as I'm home for two months with a sick child.

I got my full dose of LOST last summer after my best friend BEGGED me to start watching it. I was reluctant at first, but headed to the video store one day. After the first episode, I went straight into the second, and then couldn't bare to wait another day to start the third. This continued for about a week and by the end, I was caught up to watch the start of this season.
I just love it when the word LOST comes up on the black screen with that music... gives me goosebumps every.single.time.
That show is 100% addictive. And I love every second of it! Glad to hear you are enjoying it as well!

You're watching LOST!!! haha... I was quite sure that you guys never watched TV (with the exception of the World Series). Anyway, isn't it great? And it just gets Better. It definitely raised the bar for us, and now we're very hard to please when it comes to TV. So we hardly watch anything else. Except Project Runway. And that's just me. :)
Looks like you've got a family band on your hands... As always, love the pictures.

LOST is great, huh? like a lot of TV series, i reckon it's best watched on DVD allatonce. in a row. season by season.
my husband and i watched Season 1 whilst on holidays in New Zealand a couple of years ago. then Season 2 on our honeymoon in the Cook Islands. now THAT was creepy... the LOST island was eerily similar so i was thoroughly scared every night. how romantic is that!
one day i'll get around to Season 3. how many seasons are there now??
