in the sun
I'm feeling quiet and sleepy this morning. (okay, confession: four years behind the masses, I just started watching LOST from the beginning. And I'm staying up far too late watching just one more episode each night, and scaring myself silly.)
So I'm going to hang on today through the bumps and the waves of the day, until this afternoon when the spring sun warms the newly-opened sunporch enough so I can steer us all out there. Where Ezra will play the drums with wild abandon; Adelaide will take the farm animals on a camper journey, narrating the entire trip; Steve will pick up his guitar for some more lovely sound; Calvin will come to the door every five minutes with a building status report on his bike-ramp-in-the-snow; and I will lay on the floor with handwork by my side, but likely ignored, while I close my eyes and let the sun and sounds stream in. A little bit like yesterday.

Sounds like an excellent plan to me!

Oh, how lovely. Today you have the sun and the South of France hasn't, which is fine with me because you take the prettier pictures. Enjoy!

How exciting-the sunporch activities begin!
Have a lovely day.....

Oh, you're so lucky that you can expect the sun today! Here everything has been gray and dark all morning and the afternoon is not promising anything better. Oh well, forecasts for next week are good (maybe even real spring weather), so we'll just wait it out...

Hey me too with LOST. My hubby and I have just finished watching season two (which was a bit of a struggle by-the-by) and started season three (which is worth the struggle of season two by-the-by). Sending you lost of LOST shivers and cringes :)

LOST! I love LOST!! You don't know what you started:-) Sounds like a lovely day for sure.

sounds blissful.
i did the same thing with "six feet under." i watched the whole thing, every episode from first season to last, in less than two months (maybe it was even less than one? no no no!).

I spent yesterday in our sun room which had its first spring warming by the sun but today the sun is gone. It's in hiding which is not too much of a bad thing...the room has stayed warm but today i can't see the millions of dust specks in the air and streaky windows...they too are in hiding which means i can sit and watch the garden!

something about the sun that brings the storyteller out in my almost-three-year-old; how he loves to talk to all his animals about the sunspots on the floor, and how he tries to catch all the lint in the air that the sun highlights. it's so fun to watch!
(i may sneak a minute or two of closed eyes in those sunspots myself)

I still haven't got in to lost.
Is that camper van fagus? It's cute:0)

My cousin has been watching old seasons of Lost and tells me I'm missing out. We've been getting old seasons of Scrubs from Netflix, but have gotten kind of burned out on those. Maybe we should get Lost next time, but I hear it's very addictive!

I dream of a sun porch...I guess we sort of have one because our back room is very cold in the winter!

yummy sun. and are those the infamous lounge pants? extra yummy.
and... how buttons are made was entertaining and informative. ;) cute.

I remember those days (or nights) of Lost watching. It was one episode after another for hours. Good times indeed.
Hang in there today. xo.

I don't watch much T.V. but I've been watching Lost since the very first episode. I imagine it IS hard to stop when you can just pop in another episode. Have fun!

My boyfriend and I did the same thing this winter — LOST DVDs are addicting, they should come with a warning label. Every end of an episode, we both were like ONE MORE, ONE MORE!
As far as sun spots go, I've taken over my dog's perch by the window on the stairs. Only half my tuckus hangs off the step, but it's the warmest area of the house, and I get to cuddle with the pooch as an added bonus. (tho I get the feeling he thinks of me as an invader).

We are planning to do the same thing and have it reserved through Netflix. My husband is scared to start it after a co-worker shared that he couldn't stop and they didn't go to bed until 4AM for several nights :)

I just started watching LOST last season, but I never went back to see the early episodes... you ca imagine how truly LOST I *feel* sometimes, LOL!
Posted by: Lisa Clarke | March 26, 2008 at 09:45 AM
LOST! Tried to watch that show when it started and I would just sit there saying "I'm too scared!! I'm so scared!!" Finally couldn't take it any more but maybe I should try again.
Posted by: Carol | March 26, 2008 at 09:48 AM
Hey, I've never seen LOST...not even a teeny bit, so you are not the last! So many friends have raved about it I think it may be about time........
Posted by: asti | March 26, 2008 at 09:50 AM
Enjoy the beautiful sun, I can't wait to see some. It's funny how you just can't watch one episode of Lost at a time. It gave me the chills but I couldn't help myself.
Posted by: Gen | March 26, 2008 at 10:08 AM
Oh boy, we started watching Lost two years ago through Netflix and it was impossible for us to stop. "Just one more episode..." Now, Thursday night is THE night and we are not "TV people". Welcome to the island!
Posted by: SpiderWomanKnits | March 26, 2008 at 10:15 AM
I think my husband and I spent all of last summer and fall catching up. ;0) Good luck to you. Until you catch up you will be relentlessly hooked on watching just one more.
Posted by: Mim | March 26, 2008 at 10:22 AM
Haha. I just started watching Lost this year, too, and of course, I spent way too many nights staying up into the wee hours watching "one more episode".
Posted by: Linda | March 26, 2008 at 10:24 AM
Sounds like heaven, laying in the sun with handwork by your side....ahhh.
Love that camper and those toes!

Right. There. With. You.
I love Sawyer, (cranky bastard that he is...) and, Jin and, Sayid and, Sun and, Kate is sooo pretty and, well, I'm hopelessly addicted.
Did you get to season two yet? Oh my! Wait until episode four, I think (?), I cried.

Lost is SO worth a sleepy morning! We jumped on the bandwagon a little late, too. Keep going...it gets better and better!

I started watching Lost in December, and just finished season one. It has crept into my daily consciousness. The other day it snowed here, and the way the snow had drifted, it looked there was a cable buried underneath it in our backyard. My son started digging around it, and before I could think, I yelled at him "STOP!" Silly me.

I didn't start watching Lost until two years ago when I was unemployed and had just moved to Seattle. It was like CRACK. I stayed up until 3am and dreamed about it. It hooks you quick! I understand your current plight. :)
Posted by: sizzle | March 26, 2008 at 10:41 AM
I love LOST! You are so going to be hooked. I felt like a drug-pusher when I introduced my friend to it, and she'd watch 4 episodes in a sitting! But now we are both caught up, so it's worth it!

I am new to your blog and I had to laugh because my husband and I just finished season one of Lost and we are the same way. Every night we say "just one more"! It is great!
Posted by: Danae | March 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM
you are brave! lost looks too scary for me. we recently tried re-watching twin peaks and I couldn't even make it past the first episode!
have a nice sleepy sunporch day!

Oooh... I have to ask about the cute wooden camper bus. Where does it come from? I already followed your lead and got the Ostheimer Farmhouse for my daughter last winter. I think she would love driving the animals around in a van!
Posted by: Annie | March 26, 2008 at 11:11 AM
Sounds beautiful! I have not watched Lost at all but have considered getting it from Netflix. Sounds like I would be sucked in, too!
